The purpose of the Youth Ministry Program at St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta is to encourage young people to grow in friendship with Jesus through prayer, service, leadership, fellowship, sports, and food. Once a month teens gather for the Vigil mass at the St. Barbara Worship site at 5 p.m. and activities and food afterwards.
In addition to this monthly routine, youth ministry also assists with different parish and school activities, such as making gloves and scarfs for the shut-ins during Christmas, volunteering at the St. James Food Pantry, running a booth at the Chinatown Summer Fair, and serving food at the Superbowl party. If you are interested in having your child get involved, please contact Ellen & Nick Andriacchi at the Parish Office either by email or by calling 312-842-6777 (STWS) or 312-842-7979 (SBWS). |
