Plan Your Visit
Each visitor is a gift from God to our Parish. We would be happy to show you around. Let us know by email which Mass you interested in and we can give you a personal tour around the church after the Mass. We have English-language Masses every week. Masses in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Indonesian and Family Masses (where students deliver the readings) are held every month. Check our Parish Events calendar on the Homepage for exact dates and times. For groups with more than 10 people, we encourage you to reach out at least a month in advance so we can help plan for a successful visit.
What to wear?
You will find people wearing casual clothes and some wearing suits and dresses. Wear what is comfortable for you...you do have to wear something though! Top, bottom, and shoes at a minimal. Both churches can have strong air conditioning so plan accordingly to weather.
Where do I park?
In the below section are parking information specific for each location. St. Barbara has many church parking lot options to choose from. St. Therese is right in the middle of Chinatown and therefore street parking may be limited. No worries, we offer discounted parking validation at the large parking lots on Cermak and Wentworth.
Are babies and children welcomed?
Most definitely! Let us know beforehand and we will have a welcome packet ready for them.
Can I come visit without staying for Mass?
We welcome all visitors. The best time to visit is Sundays in-between Masses: St. Therese Church (9 AM - 10:30 AM) and St. Barbara Church (7 AM - 9:30 AM). You can also visit slightly before or after a Mass any day. Please be respectful that even while Mass is not in session, there may be people in praying in church.
