The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is an assembly of the hierarchy of the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands who jointly exercise certain pastoral functions on behalf of the Christian faithful of the United States. The purpose of the Conference is to promote the greater good which the Church offers humankind, especially through forms and programs of the apostolate fittingly adapted to the circumstances of time and place.

Catholic Relief Services
Catholic Relief Services was founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of the United States to serve World War II survivors in Europe. Since then, they have expanded in size to reach more than 130 million people in more than 100 countries on five continents. For over 75 years, thier mission has been to assist impoverished and disadvantaged people overseas, working in the spirit of Catholic social teaching to promote the sacredness of human life and the dignity of the human person.
Greater Chicago Food Depository
The Greater Chicago Food Depository is Chicago’s food bank, providing food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community. The Food Depository is part of a united community effort working to bring food, dignity and hope to our Cook County neighbors. GCFD acts as the hub for a network of more than 700 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other programs. These programs provide food where it’s most needed. GCFD also addresses the root causes of hunger. Public benefits outreach and job training programs offer a hand up for our neighbors to overcome poverty.
The Big Shoulders Fund
Inspired by Joseph Cardinal Bernardin, the Big Shoulders Fund was founded by a group of business and civic leaders in 1986 to provide support to Catholic schools in the neediest areas of inner-city Chicago.
